Day for Night

After a long, arduous winter, I think Spring might actually be making an appearance. It's sunny and "warm" outside (at this point, anything above 0 degrees is warm), and people are actually starting to go outside again. My cat is enjoying sunning himself in the window of my room, and people outside are enjoying looking in on him. :) Luckily, my window is far from the street, so folks aren't actually peering in my room!

I'm back in school! Actually, I have been for two months now, almost immediately after I made my last blog entry. The course is going well, and it's great to have some forward motion again. I'm still procrastinating, but things are at least better. :)

New friendships have been formed, and a few old ones fallen away - some with more of a kaboom than a gentle, final whisper. ;) All in all, my social life has slowly improved. I can only assume that comes with me being less hateful of myself and allowing myself to feel worthy of quality friendships. But I'm telling you, it's been much fun so far!

Work is also going reasonably well. I've missed time because of migraines, and my supervisor doesn't like that too much, but my job performance is still very good and doesn't suffer from missed days, so I'm still holding my own. As I've been there 6 months now and my performance is good, I've had a 7% raise in my wages. Yippie! Every bit helps, that's for sure. I'm still on the overnight shift, and I will be until I'm done with the company, I'm sure. I really enjoy the team I'm on, and my team leader is fantastic, so I'm very happy there.

Oh, and I got a new tattoo!! It's a design I've been wanting for years now, and I finally got it done about 2 months ago, just as I was starting school again. I wanted something physical (both on my skin as well as experiential) to help me get started again. It worked. :) I'll have to get a pic posted here sometime.
